The Dominator is a support Mage who terrorizes opponents, leaving them unable or unwilling to act. Those who muster the courage to assault a Dominator will find themselves at the mercy of arcane shields that turn the fury of their own blows against them.
With mind-altering abilities that easily disrupt focus, Dominators are the bane of enemy casters, especially healers. Dominators also excel at sending enemy ranks into disarray, making isolated, terrified individuals prey for the Mage’s allies.
Like many who thrive on terror, Dominators are themselves fragile and require a solid screen of companions to shield them from the wrath of those they torment.
Nyx was beloved of the Kelari. A beautiful young girl, she was betrothed to Heliod, who was fated to become high priest. In a land where ruthlessness was a virtue, Nyx was known for her sweet demeanor. Her melodious voice called the squirrels from the trees and the birds from the skies down to perch upon her shoulders.
Returning from a day in a shady glade, Nyx entered her opulent chamber to find an Abyssal sorcerer waiting, knife in hand.
“Your destiny dies with you…” the faceless cultist’s threat died in his throat, and he shrunk and shriveled until only a squirrel ran in erratic circles where he’d stood. Humming a dulcet tune, Nyx called the beast to her and dropped him into a cage, which she immediately submerged in a cistern. She sang over the animal’s terrified shrieks, then finally flicked the carcass out the window.
The Water cultists had arrived. Again. Oh, bother, thought Nyx, How many times must I deal with these people?
“Oh, Heliod!” she called out pleasantly, hand on the bejeweled ritual dagger on her hip. “I think we shall have visitors soon!” She opened the door to the salon to see if he was deep in meditation.
Instead she saw more Abyssal cultists, wearing masks made from the skins of their victims. The large one with the swords was hacking her Heliod into parts needed for their demonic rituals, while the others were busy painting profane symbols in the mess.
“Well I see you’ve already made yourselves at home.” Her practiced smile never wavered. “You must be tired.” Following a wave of her hand, the cultists found themselves struggling to stay awake. The pleasantness about her evaporated as the very air darkened. “And now you’ve forced me to train another husband,” Nyx said before she split apart into shadows that crept about the walls.
The cultists of Akylios are accustomed to madness. But in the house of Nyx they suffered their greatest and final torments: Running through the room clawing at their faces to remove imagined insects, losing all memory of who they were, then finally turning upon each other in paranoia. With their own spilt gore, they destroyed whatever arcane pattern they had attempted earlier.
Nyx turned and regarded the leader, who had just found the strength to stand. “Witch!” he cried out, “Akylios will not fall to the likes of you!” A bolt of unspeakable energy hissed through the air and bounced off of Nyx’s magic shield, straight back at its caster. Whichever spell it was looked painful.
“Yes, yes, you cultists and your prattle. Consider me officially bored.” And Nyx wrenched the magic out of the sorcerer, through his mouth and his nose and his tear ducts and his pores. His body collapsed onto the pile of his minions.
Nyx checked her appearance in the mirror, and frowned fetchingly. “Well then. Nothing for it but to show this Akyli-person that I will not be trifled with.”

|Controlled Opportunity||Your Transmogrify, Overpowering Will, Mass Exhaustion and Disorient abilities increase the damage of the next attack to land on the affected target by 10/20/30/40/50%.|
|Clinging Form||Increases the duration of your Transmogrify ability by 2/4/6 seconds and reduces the cooldown by 5/?/? seconds.|
|Arresting Presence||The presence of the Mage renders enemies within 10 meters speechless, silencing them as long as they are in range. Consumes Charge while active. Charge cannot be gained while active.|
|Swift Control||After casting Transmogrify, Overpowering Will, Mass Exhaustion or Disorient your casting speed is increased by 10/20/30/40/50% for 5 seconds.

|Transference||Drains up to 50 Charge and 141 Mana, or 50 Energy or Power, from the enemy and deals Death damage based on the amount drained. Reduces the enemy’s Mana, Energy or Power regeneration to 0 for 5 seconds.|
|Improved Mana Wrench||Increases the damage of your Mana Wrench by 3/6/9%, the mana returned and drained per second by 10/20/30% and the energy drained per second by 1/2/3.|
|Iron Will||While your Overpowering Will is active, your mana regeneration is increased by 50/60/70/80/100%|
|Microburst||Reduces the damage of your Storm Shackle by 30/?% but allows it to trigger an additional time and increase its duration by 2/? seconds.|
|Reflective Presence||The presence of the Mage protects allies within 10 meters, causing hostile spells cast on affected allies to have 60% chance to be reflected. Consumes Charge while active. Charge cannot be gained while active.|
|Split Personality||Transforms the Mage into a shade and tears 3 shadow forms from them for 30 seconds. The extra forms will assist the Mage against their enemies, casting Void Bolts which cause 47 to 50 Death damage.|
|Greater Shroud||Increases the healing debuff of your Void Shroud by 10/20%.|
|Empowered Presence||Increases the radius of your Arresting Presence and Draining Presence by 2/4/6 meters.
Increases the chance for your Reflective Presence to reflect spells by 5/10/15%.
|Chastise||Curses the enemy for 20 seconds, inflicting a penalty on them each time they perform an action, placing a stacking debuff on them reducing their damage and healing for 6 seconds by 10% per stack. Max 10 stacks. This ability can only be used on players and player’s pets.|
|Transmogrify||Transforms the enemy into a harmless squirrel for 30 seconds. Damage done will break the effect.|
|Neural Prod||Assaults the enemy’s mind with electrical energy, dealing 13 to 15 Air damage.|
|Thunder Blast||Blasts the enemy with a lightning dealing 48 to 51 Air damage and knocking them back.|
|Charged Shield||Creates of shield of energy around an ally for 30 minutes, causing 10 Air damage to attackers damaging the ally. This counts as an Armor buff. Only 1 Armor may be active at a time.|
|Reflective Command||The next hostile spell cast at the ally within 10 seconds will be reflected back against the attacker.|
|Mana Wrench||Channels deadly energy into the enemy, inflicting 18 Death damage to the enemy over 6 seconds and draining 15 mana or 5 energy from them each second. Returns 17 mana to the Mage every second for 6 seconds.|
|Deny||Removes all debuffs on an ally.|
|Memory Wipe||Reduces threat with the enemy by 80%.|
|Accelerated Decay||Causes the enemy to fatigue quickly, placing a stacking debuff on them each time they use an ability, reducing their melee and spell casting speed by 5% per stack for 6 seconds. Max of 5 stacks. Lasts 15 seconds.|
|Haunting Pain||Death pursues the enemy, placing 10 stacks of Haunting Pain on them, dealing 20 Death damage over 10 seconds, per stack. Movement by the enemy will remove 1 stack of Haunting Pain per second.|
|Storm Shackle||Roots the enemy for 3 seconds and surrounds them with constrained storm energy for 10 seconds. If the enemy moves the storm explodes, dealing 106 Air damage to all enemies with 7 meters and reduces their movement speed by 50% for 5 seconds.|
|Void Shroud||Curses the enemy, reducing all healing they receive by 30% for 10 seconds.|
|Grasping Void||Curses all enemies in the targeted area for 8 seconds. Any enemy within 7 meters of an affected enemy will have a stacking snare applied, reducing their movement speed by 15% per stack. Max 5 stacks.|
|Overpowering Will||Overpowers the mental defenses of the enemy, confusing them for up to 8 seconds. Damage done will break the effect. If the effect is broken, and the Mage is within 20 meters, Overpowering Will will attempt to apply the confuse effect to the enemy every 2 seconds. Consumes Charge while active. Charge cannot be gained while active.|
|Death’s Edict||Commands deadly energy to gasp the enemy from the void, dealing 130 to 134 Death damage, stunning them for 3 seconds and reducing their movement speed by 70% for 10 seconds.|
|Mass Exhaustion||Overwhelms the minds of enemies within the selected area, confusing them for up 30 seconds. Damage done will remove the effect.|
|Mental Shock||Delivers a massive shock to the enemy, dealing 70 to 74 Air damage and stunning them for 5 seconds.|
|Disorient||Blasts the enemy with a burst of negative energy, dealing 140 to 144 Death damage and confusing them for up to 20 seconds. Damage done will break the effect.|
|Draining Presence||The presence of the Mage drains the energy from enemies within 10 meters, placing a stack of debuff on the affected enemy each time they perform an action, reducing their damage and healing for 6 seconds by 10% per stack. Max 10 stacks. This ability consumes Charge while active. Charge cannot be gained while active. This ability only affects players and player’s pets.|
