Archmage

The Archmage is a PvP class that may be purchased in the city from a vendor. Being a PvP class, the Archmage is made for PvP combat.

The arcane Archmages have perfected spells that devastate the Ascended. An Archmage learns rituals of empowerment, control, and protection. Their spells create blasts of energy, or curse Ascended enemies with the inability to heal, or even banish enemies from Telara itself. An Archmage can also be a subtle broker of information, using spells to detect the unseen and alter the flow of magic. When it comes to controlling the battlefield with swathes of magic, Archmages have no rival.

Resilient Reduces the chance to be critically hit by players by (3/6/9/12/15%).
Planar Attunement Spell damage against players is increased by (3/6/9/12/15%).

Double Tap Gives your interrupted spells a (20/40/60/80/100%) chance to make the next cast of the interrupted spell instant. (Requires Planar Attunement Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 2)
Ward of Detection Places a Ward of Detection on the ground at the targeted location which reveals any stealthed enemies in, or entering, the area. Lasts 30 seconds. (Requires Silent Restoration Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 3)
Silent Restoration When you are stunned or silenced by a player (5/10%) of your mana is restored. (Requires Steelweave Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 3)
Disastrous Consequences Each time you critically hit a player your spell critical hit chance is increased by (5/10%) for 10 seconds. This effect cannot occur more than once every 20 seconds. (Requires Double Tap Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 3)
Nenvin’s Lament Fills the Mage with power, giving their next damaging spell a 100% chance to crit. (Requires Disastrous Consequences Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 3)
Concentration Reduces the pushback received from melee attacks by (25/50%). (Requires Ward of Detection Rank 1. Requires PVP rank: Rank 4)
Improved Break Free Reduces the reuse time of Break Free by (1/2/3 minutes). (Requires Silent Restoration Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 4)
Overload Increases the damage of critical strikes by (10/20/30%) against players. (Requires Desastrous Consequences Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 4)
Hastened Withdrawl Gives you a (5/10%) chance when taking physical damage from a player to dispell all movement imparing effects and increase your movement speed by 50% for 6 seconds. (Requires Nenvin’s Lament Rank 1. Requires PVP rank: Rank 4)
Etheral Shell Damage taken is reduced by (5/10/15/20/25%) for 5 seconds when hit with a Stun, Root or Silence. (Requires Concentration Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 5)
Improved Rune Shield Adds (5/10/15/20/25%) to the ammount of damage Rune Shield absorbs. (Requires Improved Break Free Rank 3. Requires PVP rank: Rank 5)
Withered Veins Your single target non-instant damage spells add Whitered Veins to players, reducing healing received by (1/2/3/4/5%). Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts for 10 seconds. (Requires Overload Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 5)
Collateral Damage Your single target damage spells have a (5/10/15/20/25%) chance to apply 50% of the damage to all enemies within 5 meters. (Requires Hastened Withdrawl Rank 2. Requires PVP rank: Rank 5)
Immovable Object Shields the Mage, reflecting all crowd control and movement impairing abilities for up to 10 seconds. Consumes Charge while active. (Requires Ethereal Shell Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 6)
Mana Shield Shields the Mage, causing any damage dealt to them to be reduced by 50%, and dealt to their mana pool instead, for up to 12 seconds. (Requires Improved Rune Shield Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 6)
Rift Tomb Blasts the enemy with negative energy, knocking them back 15 meters and banishing them for up to 10 seconds. Consumes Charge while active. (Requires Whitered Veins Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 6)
Nyx’s Manipulation Curses the enemy, doubling the mana cost of their spells and reducing the mana cost of the Mage’s spells by 50% for 15 seconds. (+9 Charge) (Requires Collateral Damage Rank 5. Requires PVP rank: Rank 6)

Root Skills

Name Description
Break Free Removes all crowd control and movement imparing effects. Does not trigger a global cooldown
Detaunt Reduces the enemy’s damage against the Mage by 50%. Any hostile action against the enemy will cancel the effect. Only works on players or player pets.
Lethargy Channels dark energy into the enemy, dealing 165 Death damage over 5 seconds, and placing a stacking snare effect on the enemy each second, reducing their movement speed by 15% per stack for 5 seconds. Damage done will remove a stack of the snare effect. Max 5 stacks.
Rune Shield Consumes all of the Mage’s Charge and places a rune on the Mage for every 20 Charge consumed. While the Mage is affected by a rune, incoming ability damage is reduced by 25%. Each time the Mage is damaged by an ability 1 rune will be removed. Lasts up to 30 seconds.
Phase Shift Channels arcane energies around the Mage, removing all debuffs and rendering them immune to damaging and debuff effects for up to 10 seconds. Consumes Charge while channeled.
