Cabalist

The Cabalist is an offensive cleric who draws on powers that others  fear. Using ritual and sigil to call forth seeping death and suffocating  water, they devastate the battlefield with powerful attacks that catch  all of their enemies in a sinking grip.

A master of AoE, the Cabalist is one of the cleric’s best DPS classes. The more mobs the better is the motto of the Cabalist. The Cabalist applies sigils to their enemies, which detonate upon a certain amount of damage being done or a certain amount of time elapsed. The first sigil (the 0 point spell) explodes doing damage to adjacent foes.

Aside from sigils, the Cabalist has a plethora of high damage, area of effect spells.

Branch Advancement

Name Description
Death’s Grasp Increases your spell damage by 1%.
Dark Omen Your Shadow’s Touch deals an additional 5% area damage.
Debt of the Dead When you critically hit with Distorted Shadow or kill an enemy, you regain 1% Mana.
Entropy Applying a Sigil reduces the enemy’s Death resistance by 3.
Stroke of Genius Applying a Sigil decreases the casting time of your Bound Fate and Howling Death spells by 0.1 per application. This can stack up to 5 times and lasts 15 seconds.
Dark Harbor Increases Air, Earth, Fire, and Water Resistances by 40. Lasts 1 hour.
Frostburn Applying a Sigil deals Water damage to the enemy.
Explosive Energies Increases the damage of all your area effect spells by 1%
Howling Death Calls forth the deafening cries of the recently dead, dealing 71 to 75 Death damage to the enemy and all nearby enemies.
Frigid Waters Your Grasping Waters also increase the enemy’s casting time by 10%.
Curse of Solitude Overwhelms the enemy with feelings of isolation, dealing 91 to 95 Death damage over 10 seconds. Causes an additional 11 damage to the enemy and all nearby enemies whenever the enemy uses an ability.
Broad Strokes Increases the number of enemies your Sigils can hit by 1.
Shadow Legion Decreases the time between pulses of your Engulfing Shadows by 1 second.
Maelstrom Summons powerful currents that pull up to 3 enemies within 15 meters of the target to the target’s location.
Deep Water Your Dark Water increases Death damage by an additional 2%.
Surge Increases the total enemies your Maelstrom can affect by 2. Requires Undertow Rank 2.
Undertow Adds a 15% snare to your Maelstrom. Requires Maelstrom Rank 1.
Nebulous Haze Clouds the enemy’s eyes, reducing the maximum range of their ranged abilities by 10 meters for 15 seconds.
Affinity for Death When taking Death damage, you recover Mana equal to 5% of the damage dealt.
Sigil of Ravaging Places a Sigil of Decay on the enemy for 15 seconds. When the enemy takes 214 damage, the enemy dies, or the Sigil expires, it will explode, dealing 71 to 75 damage to up to 3 enemies, in addition to healing the cleric for 20% of the damage done. Only 1 Sigil can be applied to an enemy at any time.

Root Advancement

Name Description
Shadow’s Touch Propels a bolt of darkness at the enemy, inflicting 26 to 29 Death damage. Two other nearby enemies take an additional 25% of the damage done.
Sigil of Lurking Decay Places a Sigil of Lurking Decay on the enemy for 15 seconds. When the enemy takes 44 damage, the enemy dies, or the Sigil expires, it will explode, dealing 22 to 24 Death damage to up to 3 nearby enemies. Only 1 Sigil can be applied to an enemy at a time.
Distorted Shadows Channels a series of shadowy bolts at the enemy, dealing 55 to 58 Death damage over 3 seconds.
Bound Fate Unleashes a chain of dark energy that strikes the enemy and two other nearby enemies for 29 to 31 Death damage.
Grasping Waters Locks the enemy’s feet in ice, rooting them in place for 5 seconds.
Tyranny of Death Slowly weakens the enemy’s soul, causing it to rupture after 10 seconds, dealing 56 to 60 Death damage to the enemy and all nearby enemies. This effect will trigger prematurely if the enemy dies or is damaged by Tyranny of Death.
Dark Water Hurls a bolt of corruptive energy that deals 41 to 44 Death damage, in addition to increasing the damage of Death abilities used against the enemy by 5% for the next 15 seconds.
Devouring Mist Calls forth a deathly miasma around the enemy, dealing 35 to 38 Death damage, in addition to healing the Cleric for 40% of the damage done.
Engulfing Shadows Surrounds the Cleric with dark energy, dealing 33 Death damage to nearby enemies every 5 seconds. Lasts 30 seconds.
Sigil of Power Places a Sigil of Power on the enemy for 15 seconds. When the enemy takes 188 damage, the enemy dies, or the Sigil expires, it will explode, granting 168 Mana to the Cleric for each nearby enemy. Only 1 Sigil can be applied to an enemy at a time.
Binding Waters Locks the legs of the enemy and all nearby enemies in ice, rooting them in place for 5 seconds.
Reaper’s Breath Fills an area with Death energy, dealing 260 to 266 Death damage over 6 seconds.
Reversal of Fortune Causes the next damaging spell directed at the Cleric to be reflected onto the caster. Lasts 5 seconds.
Reign of Despair Channels the overwhelming doom of imminent death into an area, causing enemies within to take 559 to 559 Death damage over 6 seconds, in addition to interrupting their attempts to cast spells.
